We received so many nominations which shared the stories of 200 different individuals, clubs and organisations who have kept us active throughout 2020, and we want to celebrate and highlight their outstanding contributions to their community.ĭuring the 30 th November – 5 th December we will be sharing some of the amazing stories from individuals across the county. We will be announcing the winners in February via our social media channels, so be sure to follow our Twitter, Facebook and Instagram to stay tuned.Thank you so much to everyone who shared their Essex Activity Hero stories with us throughout October! It is important that we end this year on a high, come together as a county, and recognise those who have gone that extra mile in what has been a challenging year. This year, as we are still recovering from the pandemic, the 10 th GBA Awards will continue recognising individuals and organisations that contributed to a healthier and more resilient Berkshire. The ‘Berkshire physical activity lockdown hero’, a campaign celebrating the GBA Awards’ winners, united residents, communities and activity providers around the joy and importance of physical activity, keeping spirits high during the winter lockdown. The GBA Awards recognised the fantastic contribution of local individuals and organisations to the mental and physical wellbeing of Berkshire residents. ![]() Last year was a challenging time for the whole world and our county. ![]()
